Let’s Move Missoula is among the top cities to earn gold medals in five categories created for the 450 cities, towns and counties participating in the Let’s Move initiative founded by First Lady Michelle Obama. The program calls upon local elected officials to adopt sustainable and holistic policies that improve their community’s access to healthy, affordable food and opportunities for physical activity. See Let’s Move! Let’s Move! Missoula Child Care Training September 19th 

Description: The course will focus on the physical health guidelines of infants and children, motor-skill development, coordination, mobility and exercise which help ensure young children have a healthy body.   Additionally, the nutrition needs of infants and children will be covered with present best practices in feeding children at child care centers, description of the development of taste preferences in children, and strategies for helping children to enjoy a wide variety of healthy foods, including “picky eaters”. The goal of the training is to give child care providers the tools to help children develop healthy habits for life.
